Who is Aaron Dix?

Aaron is no stranger to success, in business and in life. Nothing has come easy though, as an aspiring young man from humble beginnings he has used a combination of luck, skill and mostly hard work to become the man he is today. Despite coming from a modest working class family, Aaron had his first taste of fame and fortune very early in life.

His first real job was testing components for an up and coming fiber optics company during the dot com technology bubble. There was nothing glamorous about the job itself, but the annual stock options that went along with it turned company janitors into millionaires. The company parking lot was soon jam packed with luxury cars driven by factory workers, secretaries and maintenance men.

Aaron didn't waste any time selling his stocks and putting that capital into real estate investments. It proved to be a shrewd move, as the majority of the company employees were still holding stock when the tech bubble burst, and the luxury cars went back to the dealership. This was his first big winning bet, but many more were to follow.
Aaron's love for sports and sports handicapping have always been his passion and now he has the time and dedication to pursue handicapping full time. In between stays in Las Vegas finding good bets and values in the lines Aaron also finds time to play poker and fantasy sports.
A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence has helped Aaron achieve his success.

What sports does he bet on ?

Aaron primarily bets on the main sports leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAAF and NCAAB) Sometimes he likes to bet on MMA and boxing when a good opportunity arises.

What are his handicapping systems/methods?  Never choosing to rely on just one approach, Aaron likes to use an ever evolving combination of statistical, fundamental and situational process. Finding key motivational or letdown spots during the season are key factors in choosing good bets.
I like to mantain a database of teams that I feel are being currently undervalued or overlooked compared to their talent level and find spots to exploit the line in our favor.
With so many day to day changing factors including weather, injuries, rest and motivation handicapping has many factors that can't be ignored when choosing a good play.

What is His strategy for pick rating and bankroll management?

Bankroll management is the key to success for sports betting. We have all heard the saying " never put all your eggs in one basket."
Similar to having shares in many companies on the stock market to diversify,  we should also never have more then 5% of our bankroll on one bet. I like to bet between 3% and 5%
On any one bet depending on what * rating the play is given. Typically a normal play will be a 8*  play while a 10 * play will be a "best bet" or a game of the month quality play.

What should I expect for pick volume and release time?

Aaron generally has anywhere from 2-5 plays per day in various sports, scaling to 5-7 during football season weekends.

Aaron likes to put out his plays the evening before to take advantage of any early line value. Football picks will be posted mid-week for the upcoming weekend.

SIGNATURE PLAYS:

ROAD WARRIOR : When a team is on the road and the numbers, trends and analysis point to a victory.
TOTAL TORNADO : This is his signature over/under totals play that frequently hits the mark and gets the check mark.
HOME HERO : Victory is always sweet especially when it is at home. After spending the day scanning trends, lines and stats.
These are usually the best home team plays of the day.
RAGING DOG: On special occasions when a team is in just too good of a spot. Often refered to as what bettors like to call a "live dog".
SHOTCALLER : These plays are usually favorites or teams that need a big margin of victory to get the cover.
